ABOUT THE ROLE – Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for operating bitumen spray trucks and ensuring the accurate and safe application of bitumen on various road surfaces.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate bitumen sprayer trucks and associated equipment on job sites.
- Apply bitumen to roads and surfaces in accordance with project specifications.
- Conduct daily pre-start checks and routine maintenance of equipment.
- Monitor bitumen temperature, spray rates, and coverage.
- Work collaboratively with site supervisors, traffic controllers, and crew members.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations
ABOUT YOU - What You'll Need:
- Proven experience operating bitumen sprayers in road construction.
- Minimum Class 4 licence, class 5 preferred
- DG Endorsements required
- Strong understanding of bitumen application techniques and safety protocols.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding outdoor environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Desirable Qualifications:
- First Aid Certification
- Mechanical aptitude or experience with minor equipment repairs.
- Fluent in English language
