Ventia is seeking a Project Engineer to join our Transport team in Wellington, supporting the safe and efficient delivery of capital works on the Transmission Gully motorway.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As Project Engineer, you’ll help drive the safe, efficient delivery of critical capital works project giving you a chance to innovate and leave your mark on a nationally significant project.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver capital works projects safely and on time
- Collaborate with O&M and Capital Works teams
- Prepare work packs, manage subcontractors, and lead pre-starts
- Conduct site audits, traffic management planning, and quality checks
- Uphold SHEQ standards and promote a safety-first culture
ABOUT YOU
To thrive in this role, you’ll bring solid, hands-on experience in pavement maintenance and construction.
You will hold a tertiary engineering qualification in either BE, NZCE, or similar, and you’re confident using MS office to support your project work.
You’re a strong communicator, with a clear focus on safety and quality. A Class 1 driver’s licence is essential and an STMS inspector certificate is an advantage.
